Potluck Iftaars

We hope everyone's Ramadan is going well! For those who missed the
announcement, every Saturday during Ramadan, MECA will be
hosting a potluck event for iftaar. We are inviting everyone to bring in a dish
to share with others. The potluck will still be held in the One World Room in
Anabel Taylor Hall. Insh'Allah this will be a way to get a taste of home cooked
food (finally!).
Also, for those who do not already know, MECA organizes catered community
iftaars and taraweeh prayers every night in the One World Room in Anabel Taylor
Hall.
Pakistan Flood Relief | |
In the past two weeks 1500 Pakistanis have lost their lives in a terrible flood.
As the world comes together to help the unfortunate people, MECA is asking the
Muslim community of Ithaca to extend a helping hand towards the 15 million now
affected by this flood. Donation boxes are placed every Friday during
prayers in the One World Room in Anabel Taylor Hall. The money collected from
the Ithaca community will be sent to ISCNY (Islamic Society of Central New
York). Even the smallest contribution could help save lives. |
