Salaam Everyone,

Due to the poor weather conditions, we are canceling today's picnic. We know that all of you were really excited for the event and that this news might be somewhat disappointing. However, in light of the upcoming final exams, we did not want to risk anyone getting sick and therefore having a difficult time during finals week. Please stay warm and enjoy the crazy unpredictable Ithaca weather from the comfort of your room.

We are currently in the process of figuring out whether any other date in the near future would work for a picnic or another similar event. Please send us your suggestions and we'll update you if any event is planned.

Assalamu Alaikum Sisters and Brothers,

With the end of the semester nearby, MECA will insh'Allah be hosting its annual spring picnic this Sunday, May 9th at Stewart Park from 11am-4pm in the small pavilion. It would be great if everyone came to relax one last time before the studying for the finals begins! The park is reserved for us all afternoon, so you could even drop by for an hour or so to have some fun with the rest of the Muslim community.

The halal lunch will feature barbeque chicken and hot dogs. The picnic, as well as parking at the park, is free of cost. Don't miss out on the opportunity to play sports, get to know people, sit on the grass, and enjoy the beautiful weather (no rain expected)!
